Invent and Engineer is a one-semester course taught by Mr. Mikton. It is for students who like working with their hands, being creative, and learning how things work. The main part of the course will focus on robotics  using the Lego Mindstorms kits and software. We will also work on several other  projects: roller coasters, carbon dioxide powered dragsters, hot air balloons, water bottle rockets, mouse trap cars, simple structures. The projects are selected based on the interest of the students in the class.

The goal of the class is not only for students to learn something about the robotics and how to work with other machines but also to learn some strategies for working in teams. As such, most of the projects will require the students to work in a group of two to four people.
